About Alex MBACP
Alex incorporates Person Centred Therapy into her Equine Therapy work. Person Centred Therapy is also known as Rogerian or non-directive therapy. This is a type of psychotherapy that specialises in helping clients find solutions to their problems.
She fully understand that approaching counselling for the first time can be very daunting, but as a person-centred counsellor, she will work with you in a calm, professional environment to explore your issues and problems and work towards a solution.
During the first phase of her career, Alex worked as a Creative Partner, within high-profile positions in multi-award-winning organisations such as Ogilvy and Mather, HHCL & Partners and Al Gore’s, Current TV.
She eventually formed her own promotional film company, Contented Brands in 2010 and worked with clients such as Centrepoint, Shelter, Berkeley Homes, HSBC and Dogs Trust.
In 2020 she produced and directed a feature film documentary entitled LOCK 4 TIMES. The film focussed on the Lockdown and more specifically the Covid-19 pandemic's effect on individuals mental health.
LOCK 4 TIMES acquired 14 laurels on the International Film Festival circuit, including screenings in Cannes, Paris & New York and also received several 'Honourable Mentions’.
In 2023 she produced and directed an award-winning documentary 'Tails From The Borders'. This film looks at the desperate conflict in Ukraine
and the reality of what war means for our animal companions.
The film chronicled how many of them have been saved by the selfless heroic efforts of their owners and the tireless work of charities.
It is introduced and endorsed by actor Martin Clunes.
